0,00% non-alcoholic, sweet Koji drink with a chunky, smooth ricey texture. Drinkable transfusion is a nickname for Amazake in Japan due to its rich nutrients and health benefits.

Tastes like: sweet peach, pineapple, mild umami

Refined, delicious Amazake made of 50% polished Yamadanishiki sake rice. Amazake is a traditional Japanese sweet drink made of rice, koji rice and water. Without any added sugar or aroma, this drink is enjoyably sweet and fruity, thanks to the natural koji fermentation. You can chew on the rice particles, the texture is similar to roughly blended smoothie.

This amazake can be enjoyed chilled or warmed, straight or with milk, or used as a base for a smoothie. In Japan, Amazake is often referred as as drinkable beauty serum becuase of its abundant nutrients and anti oxidant substances, that the Japanese people have benefited from since hundreds of years ago. Also, it is often drank for improving the intenstinal flora.

To tell you the truth, Sarah and Eriko were not huge fans of Amazake.... only until they tasted this one! Now they are hooked on it for its taste and healthiness.

About the Brewery: Komatsu Shuzo

This may be the smallest brewery we work with! Located in southern Japan, their style is expressive of the regional sake character: juicy, fruity and a balanced sweetness that makes it so enjoyable to drink. The brewery consists of a small team of only five workers making each sake by hand. You can feel their products are expressive and speaks to you with the comforting umami and sweetness derived from the fermentation. The love that goes into the product and modernization of ancient sake styles make stheir products exemplary among others.
