SUI SUI imports and distributes authentic Japanese sake in Europe.
We offer our carefully selected sake as a charming companion for special moments in life and as a cheerful addition to the everyday table.
Sake is a very versatile drink which can be combined with many different cuisines. We hope to bring out your adventurous side and learn how to incorporate sake into your everyday life by enjoying it with Japanese and non-Japanese cuisine.
Our selection also includes rare and seasonal sakes which are constantly changing to reflect today's evolving sake industry and the latest innovations in its millennia-old brewing techniques.
Our goal is to present not only the products but also the people behind them. As you explore our sake range, you will learn a lot about the diverse philosophies, values and characters of each brewery.
SUI SUI was founded by two Sake experts, Sarah and Eriko.
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sarah grew up close to a large Japanese community. Her first experience with sake was a sake bomb, an otherworldly drink of a shot of sake plunging into a beer glass. It was not love at first taste, but she eventually gave sake another try in her adulthood. Overtime, she fell madly in love and fifteen years later wanted to spread her love and joy of sake in Berlin.
Sarah is the owner of NOMU Sake Bar, a sake sommelier and educator as well as a shochu advisor and competition judge. She hopes that overtime, you can forget your bad experiences with hot schnapps-like sake and open your mind to the delicious selection she’s curated for SUI SUI.
Eriko is a certified Sake Sommelier (Sake Diploma/ WEST Level 3/ SSI) and has been representing and supporting Sake importers, Sake breweries and related associations to execute various marketing and sales activities in Europe since 2017.
After studying and working in Finland and Germany for many years she is now back in Japan, where she stays up to date on the rapidly evolving sake industry and carefully hand pick the best products for the SUI SUI customers.
