One of the oldest sake breweries in Fukui, this father and son run brewery is making new traditions in the sake world. They believe that tradition needs to be innovated to fit with the times resulting in great efforts to create new products that appeal to long-time sake fans to first-time sake drinkers.
The sakes are painstakingly hand-made using traditional methods to express the unique personality of the brewery.
MANATURU'S STYLE
Tradition meets modernity. Manaturu is not afaid to change things up; they are not led by trends or influenced by people's opinions. The brewery takes what it knows well and pushes the boundaries to produce new exciting products.
OSHOZU WATERS
Manaturu uses the pure water from Oshozu, known as Japan's most delicious waters. It is derived from the snow melt of the mountains which surround Echizen Ono. The snowmelt carries and absorbs minerals along it's long journey and sinks underground. By the time the waters reach Echizen Ono, this water is already centuries old.
