A spicy and zesty gin that packs a little heat from the sansho. Sarah's favorite for gin & tonics
Tastes like: bright sansho pepper, cinnamon, orange peel, sweet potato
The base of the gin uses sweet potato shochu that was aged in earthenware. Each botanical is steeped in shochu and then distilled resulting in a unique style of gin. Six botanicals were used to bring a vibrant and earthy taste of Kagoshima: Nanko plums, Kesen Dango a member of the cinnamon family, bamboo leaf, sansho pepper, mandarin peel from Juman Mikan, and tea tree.

About the Distillery: Issho / Komaki Jozo

Rich, earthy and smooth, the shochus produced by Komaki Jozo reflects the earth and nature that surrounds its distillery. The distillery uses a combination of the Qvevri natural wine production method and their century old Satsuma earthenware jars to create their distinct style.
