Named after the luckiest of numers in Japan, this is one of Sarah's favorite sakes, and one she doesn't like to share

Tastes like: Melons, mimosa flowers, lychee, parsley, fresh yogurt, gentle umami and a little rock sugar sprinkled on top.

This is a sake that takes a few seconds for your brain to comprehend. It is one of those moments when you take a sip, think "that's delicious" and seconds later with eyes open say out loud "what just happened!" It's a layered, complex sake where each character comes out one at a time and ends in a clean finale like a symphony that builds up and abruptly stops, a true showmanship of technical skill. It takes a second to comprehend and you will want to keep hitting repeat.

About the Brewery: Kokuryu Shuzo

Kokuryu was founded in 1804 in the land of the nine-headed dragon. Fukui is abundant with pure water that flows from the snowmelt of the Hakusan mountains through the rocky layers of the Kuzuryu river contributing to the high quality ginjo production and texture of their products. In addition to using only the highest quality rice, the brewery continues to innovate through research and state-of-the-art facilities to produce one of the best cult sake products in Japan.
