A warm, cozy, chewy umeshu that can be enjoyed warm, cold or sparkly

Tastes like: cinnamon stick, deep plum seed umami with chunky pieces of plum fruit

If you're looking for a plum wine unlike others, then this Komaki intepertation is for you. This umeshu is blended with lots of chunky plum pulps. It's not like an umeshu nigori where you get a smoothie consistency. Instead, you get a crunchy texture of minced plum meat. The plums are Nanko plums from Satsuma Town, harvested when they are still green, and then steeped in Komaki's own shochu for over 8 months, resulting in a warm, spicy umeshu.

About the Distillery: Issho / Komaki Jozo

Rich, earthy and smooth, the shochus produced by Komaki Jozo reflects the earth and nature that surrounds its distillery. The distillery uses a combination of the Qvevri natural wine production method and their century old Satsuma earthenware jars to create their distinct style.
